Celebrations of 72nd Independence of India by Embassy of India, Khartoum
The 72 nd Independence Day of India was celebrated by Embassy of India, Khartoum with gaiety and patriotic enthusiasm at the Embassy Residence on 15 th August 2018. The event was attended by about 125 members of the Indian community and friends of India. The National Flag was hoisted by Ambassador Shri Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal, followed by singing of the National Anthem by the attendees. The Ambassador then read out the Hon’ble President’s message delivered on the eve of Independence Day. On this occasion, a brief Cultural programme including patriotic songs and dance was presented by the Children of Omdurman Indian Community School, which was well appreciated by the audience. At the end of the event, light refreshments were served.
