Yellow Fever Vaccine Entry to India Notice.

India has implemented stringent yellow fever vaccine entry requirements under the International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005.

Under IHR travelers > 9 months of age, arriving from any of the 42 Yellow Fever endemic countries must possess a valid yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate issued by an authorized yellow fever vaccination center upon arrival. The certificate becomes valid 10 days after vaccination; therefore, travelers must be vaccinated at least 10 days before their departure.

Travelers without possession of a valid certificate or with an immature certificate are quarantined for maximum period of 6 days at designated facilities as per IHR. Also, as per rules, there is no diplomatic immunity to these guidelines.
