H.E. Mr Mohieldin Naeim, the Sudanese Minister of Energy & Oil called on H.E. Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas at #IndiaEnergyWeek2025 on12th February 2025, Several topics were discussed including hydrocarbon trade, global biofuels alliance and clean cooking solutions particularly Surya Nutan- the solar cooktop developed in India & #PMUjjwala Yojana, the program envisioned by PM H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi to provide free LPG connections to rural and deprived households.

H.E. Mr Mohieldin Naeim was impressed at the scale and extensive scope of the visionary PMUjjwala Scheme under which India has provided free connections to nearly 110 million beneficiaries spread across both urban and rural areas, ramped up our distribution & bottling infrastructure ensuring affordable and reliable supplies. Also discussed schemes of social and financial inclusion including PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli yojna.
